Singapore (10 February, 2025) — Bridgestone Asia Pacific, India, China (BSAPIC) proudly introduces the Bridgestone TURANZA 6, its premium flagship tire that redefines comfort for passenger cars. Designed to elevate journeys, the Bridgestone TURANZA 6 transforms every ride into an ultra-sensorial experience. With advanced technology for road noise and vibration absorption, it offers an exceptionally quiet and smooth ride, making it equally suited to the demands of all conventional and electric vehicles (EVs). The Bridgestone TURANZA 6 ensures that every road becomes your comfort zone.

Innovative Design with cutting-edge ENLITEN™ technology
Developed in response to customer feedback, the Bridgestone TURANZA 6 prioritizes quietness, ride comfort, and wet grip as key performance improvements. The tire builds on the success of the popular TURANZA T005A and incorporates groundbreaking innovations in compound, tread pattern, and tire shape to meet the evolving needs of modern drivers. Its substantial performance enhancements, powered by Bridgestone’s ENLITEN technology, include an 8% reduction in noise levels and an 8% increase in ride comfort, delivering a quieter and more comfortable ride. The tire has also benefitted from a 14% improvement in wet grip for increased handling confidence in challenging conditions.*1 Bridgestone’s proprietary ENLITEN technology enables ultimate customization*2 by addressing the evolving needs of the market with a unique value proposition, while simultaneously enhancing the core performance attributes demanded by consumers, such as longer lasting wear life and better fuel/energy efficiency.

Engineered to be EV-Ready
The Bridgestone TURANZA 6 is also designed to meet the specific demands of EVs. Its low rolling resistance extends battery life and addresses range anxiety concerns, while its enhanced wear tolerance combats the increased weight and torque of EVs. Additionally, reduced noises ensure a more comfortable driver experience, complementing the near silent operation of EVs. These features make the Bridgestone TURANZA 6 more versatile tire than its predecessor, delivering exceptional performance and comfort for all types of passenger cars.

A Commitment to Sustainability
Bridgestone has placed sustainability at the core of its management and business, striving to realize its vision of ‘Toward 2050, Bridgestone continues to provide social and customer value as a sustainable solutions company.’ In line with this vision, the Bridgestone TURANZA 6 was developed with sustainability in mind. Compared to its predecessor, the tire reduces newly sourced raw material usage during production and extends its wear life, resulting in a 16%*3 reduction in CO2 emissions at the raw material stage. Its improved rolling resistance decreases energy consumption while driving, leading to a 13%*4 reduction in CO2 emissions per kilometer during the use stage. The Bridgestone TURANZA 6 exemplifies Bridgestone’s dedication to advancing its unique Sustainability Business Model*5 that links business with efforts to realize carbon neutrality and a circular economy across the value chain, from the ‘produce and sell’ and ‘use’ of products to their ‘renewal’ to raw materials.

“In line with Bridgestone Group’s Mid Term Business Plan (2024-2026), we are further focusing on value creation, strengthening our premium passenger car tire segment under the concept of ‘Create Good Tires.’ As part of this journey, we are excited to introduce the new Bridgestone TURANZA 6 with our cutting-edge ENLITEN technology,” said Seigo Hata, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, BSAPIC. “This new flagship tire combines exceptional performance with sustainability-focused features, showcasing Bridgestone’s dedication to advancing safety, innovation, and environmental responsibility in the premium tire segment. We are confident that the Bridgestone TURANZA 6 will change what drivers can expect of a luxurious, comfortable, and quiet driving experience.”

The Bridgestone TURANZA 6 will be available in selected markets across Asia Pacific Region from the start of 2025, with a wide coverage of sizes from 15-20 inch for passenger cars. Size availability may differ by market.

Building on its legacy of innovation in the premium tire segment, Bridgestone continues to deliver products that enhance the driving experience while contributing to the realization of the Bridgestone E8 Commitment.*6 Through innovation, safety, and sustainability, the Bridgestone TURANZA 6 supports drivers with reliability, comfort, and peace of mind, reinforcing Bridgestone’s dedication to mobility solutions that move the world forward.

*1 Testing was conducted on a Toyota Camry 2.5G Sport AT 2022 equipped with 215/55 R17 TURANZA 6 tires. The vehicle, with a total weight of 1,550 kg, carried a load of 4.59 kN (front) and 2.99 kN (rear), with an inner pressure of 240 kPa (front and rear) and rim size 17x7.0J. Passenger weight (driver + passenger) was an additional 60 kg. The test was performed under sunny weather conditions at 33°C at the Thai Bridgestone Proving Ground.

*2 “ultimate" described above refers to the company's goals as an organization.

*3,4 These calculations are based on a comparison between 215/55 R17 TURANZA T005A and 215/55 R17 TURANZA 6 tires.
Raw material stage: The calculation was conducted using example values from the Tire LCCO2 Calculation Guidelines Ver.3.0.1 issued by JATMA (3.04 kg-CO2e/kg per 1000km.)
Use stage: CO2 emissions during the use stage were calculated according to the Product Category Rule (Tires) v.3.05 issued by UL Solutions. Functional unit: per 1000km.
