History of Bridgestone
To better serve its customers and subsidiaries in Asia Pacific, Bridgestone Corporation, headquartered in Japan, set up a strategic business unit in Singapore to manage operations in the region.
Established since October 2006, Bridgestone Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. began with a staff strength of 20 employees overseeing the functions of Accounts, Human Resources, IT, Business Planning, Sales and Marketing, Logistics and Technical Service, each supporting the Bridgestone Group’s business across the Asia Pacific region.
Through the years since its establishment, the operations of Bridgestone Asia Pacific have grown rapidly with the addition of several new functions including Production Planning and Legal, while staff strength has also expanded to more than 100 employees.
In July 2014, Bridgestone Asia Pacific further expanded its responsibility to include tyre business operations in China. The company continues to increase its contribution to the Bridgestone Group globally, while upholding the company’s Mission of “Serving Society with Superior Quality”.
